Alex- Director
After having worked in education since 2007, first in mainstream and then in a PRU, I wanted to find a more holistic, sustainable approach to delivering education. Through my study, lived experience and professional training I have learnt and developed the strategies at the core of Making Momentum’s provisional ethos.
Favourite Making Momentum horse to ride: I cannot choose! I love them all for different reasons, Louis feels like home, Cello is so sweet and gentle, Remi tries really hard and Tux is full of personality!

Hobbies: Horses, D&D, gaming, classic 90’s TV shows Like Buffy and the X-Files.
What I enjoy most about working at MM:
All the wonderful young people who come and spend time with us. Watching them grow, progress and succeed on their own terms. I am also really proud of our staff team.

Leni- Director
With 15 Years of teaching experience across a variety of settings and age groups, I am deeply passionate and committed to creating inclusive, supportive learning environments where all children can thrive. My passion lies in promoting equality and fairness in education, fostering learning through play and supporting every individual learner to grow.
Accomplishments:
Ceramics BA (Hons), PGCE Art & Design, Movement Method 1 & 2
Currently studying: Trauma informed Somatic Therapy, ACCPH Accredited
Hobbies: Gaming, Painting, Reading, river dipping and antique hunting.
What I enjoy most working at MM:
I find great fulfilment in my work, particularly in engaging with children through play and creative activities. Witnessing their progress and achievements is deeply rewarding and it is an absolute joy to see them grow in confidence.

Claire- SEND Support Worker
I have been working for Making Momentum since October 2024 working with our wonderful younger learners assisting with horse riding and physical activities. When I was younger, I was very fortunate to own and ride horses, and used to enjoy hacking on bridle footpaths and competing in shows. My grandparents lived on a farm so I have much experience and love for country life.

Hobbies:
I very much enjoy fitness and sports, I particularly enjoy swimming and playing cricket and watching my own children play sport competitively. I am also a heritage craft maker who specialises in straw craft production.

Charlotte-SEND Support Worker
I started my journey in education working as a Level 3 Nursey practitioner spending 5 years in EYFS settings. During that time I learnt vast amounts about child development, building meaningful bonds and how important it is to make every child feel safe, happy and confident.
I then began working in a SEND Secondary school as a Teaching assistant supporting a wide range of students supporting non verbal, pre- verbal and deaf learners.
Accomplishments:
Level 3 Nursery Practitioner, BSL Level 2, Movement Method 1 & 2
Hobbies: Crafts, decorative home projects, creating fun and interactive resources for our learners, spending time with my children outdoors.
What I enjoy most working at MM:
I adore working at Making Momentum because I get to watch every child grow, succeed and most importantly be happy. There’s no better feeling than seeing them smile and knowing you’ve made a difference to their educational journey.

Erin- Playdate Lead
I’ve been working for Making Momentum for 6 years and have been riding for 17 years. I started my riding journey when I was 6 years old and took weekly lessons at Mobberly Riding School. I have taken part in many different equestrian activities including: Polo-crosse, dressage and show jumping. I have played professional Polo-crosse for the Celyn Polocrosse team based in Wales.

Accomplishments: Journalism BA (Hons) First Class, Paediatric First Aid, Movement Method 1 & 2, HBM Level 1
Hobbies: Live music events, riding, spending time with friends.
What I enjoy most working at MM:
Working at Making Momentum has been the privilege of a lifetime. We are so lucky to be part of so many journeys. I adore being able to share the magic of horses and ponies.

Maddie- Playdate Lead
I have been riding horses for 12 Years. I have a Bachelors degree in Psychology and I am planning to Study a Masters degree in Speech and Language Therapy.

Hobbies: I enjoy painting and drawing, Learning Japanese.
What I enjoy most about working at Making Momentum:
I love meeting all the children and their families and seeing how they grow in confidence throughout their sessions.

Ella- Playdate Support Worker
I have been riding weekly since 2019 when I joined Making Momentum as a learner accessing Alternative Provision. I joined the team as a member of staff in 2023. I have just finished Further education where I studied Public and Protective Services with a view to join the Royal Airforce.

Hobbies: Riding, Sailing, scuba diving, running, hiking - anything that involves adrenaline and adventure!
What I enjoy most about working at MM:
I really enjoy working with the children and know first hand just how important access to this provision is. It is life changing, being heard, seen and nurtured is so important. No two days are the same, I love meeting all the families and seeing the kids grow in confidence.

Bea- Playdate Support Worker
I have been riding for 8 years, starting at riding school before progressing to owning my own ponies and horses. I still have weekly lessons with various trainers and instructors.

Accomplishments:
I am currently studying an Equine Management Level 3 Diploma at Reaseheath College. I have also passed my BHS Level 2 examinations and have completed Pony Club proficiency tests up to Level B.
Hobbies:
I enjoy caring for, riding and competing my ponies in a variety of disciplines.
What I enjoy most working at MM:
I love working at Making Momentum because the atmosphere is super friendly and supportive. I feel like we make a real difference to the lives of the children who come and spend time with us. I get to spend time with some fabulous people and horses.

I have been riding at a riding school since 2017 focussing on flatwork and show jumping on a variety of horses and ponies.

What I enjoy most working at MM:
I love seeing how much the families and children benefit from the sessions, alongside being able to develop my own skills and knowledge of working with horses and children.

Sophie- Music Therapist
As a music therapist I have the privilege of using the power of music to connect, heal and support the learners on their personal journeys. It's a calling rooted in empathy and creativity. Music has the unique ability to reach places words often can’t and being able to facilitate that kind of emotional and therapeutic connection is deeply meaningful.
Accomplishments: Registered Hypnotherapist, EMDR practitioner, Music therapist
What I enjoy most working at MM:
Seeing the children smile and connect with music and emotions. Helping children find comfort through a favourite song or simple melody reminds me how powerful human connection can be.
